An Post is seeking one of more providers for the maintenance and repair of automated Security Gates and Barriers nationally.
An Post has a varied property portfolio servicing our business needs across the Republic of Ireland, which consists of retail outlets, sorting offices, mail centres and administration buildings. An Post operates in a unionised environment with open communication with all stakeholders. These properties consist of traditional Post Office Buildings dating from the 1900's to the present day together with standard light industrial units. Some of the properties are protected structures or are in areas of Architectural conservation.
Potential candidates must be capable of providing ALL the following services for security gates and barriers Nationally:
- Completing the annual Planned Preventative Maintenance Plan of all security gates and barriers.
- Testing and diagnostics of ALL elements of the emergency and safety gates and barriers (including safety edges, beacons etc.)
- Adjustment of gate hardware such as rollers and hinges.
- Re-align gate to avoid dragging.
- Check and clean gate track.
- Gate inspection and Condition Surveys.
- Safety Surveys.
- Risk Assessments.
- Repairs including civils.
- Reactive Maintenance.
- Improvement works.
Contract duration: 3 years with an option to extend for a further 24 months on a year by year basis.

III.1.1)Qualification for the system:
Conditions to be fulfilled by economic operators in view of their qualification: Conditions to be fulfilled by economic operators in view of their qualification: Registration on supply-line constitutes the basis for tender list preparation in the supply categories listed in II.3 above.
Registration may be achieved in the following way:
(a) Payment of the appropriate registration fee to join supply-line LEVEL 3 by 26th JULY 2013; service providers already registered on Supply-Line need not re-apply at this time, but may wish to review and amend their registration for the appropriate product codes and level of service of their subscription.

(b) Completion of the Supply-Line qualification questionnaire online via, including a formal declaration of the applicants bona fides - it is a requirement for suppliers to update their information annually and to ensure that key documentation is also kept up-to-date.

(c) Enter product code 1.01.10 Security Equipment under your company profile.
Suppliers should be fully registered under correct level and product code by WEDNESDAY 31st JULY 2013 at 12:00 noon.
Suppliers should note that consideration for tender lists may be subject to An Post issuing second-stage qualification questions about specific contracts through the e-Qual tool within Supply-Line. To this end, suppliers are reminded to carefully monitor email alerts from both Supply-Line and/or the Purchasing Organisation.

Vendors may join at any time and will be required to update their information annually.
Supply-Line offers financial savings for both the Purchasing Organisations and suppliers whilst ensuring that applications for market entry continue to be dealt with fairly and objectively by the Purchasing Organisations, thus minimising the workload for both groups. The administrative costs are being shared by the purchasing organisations and the vendors.
As a general rule, the subscribers covered by the Utilities legislation will use the negotiated procedure for the award of contracts and/or framework agreements.
